Mr. Paras Shahdadpuri, Chairman, NIKAI Group of Companies is a former Diplomat with the Indian Foreign Service. He left this prestigious career to take up the new challenges and moved out to forge his own business empire.

He started with trading in commodities in 1988 and chose Dubai to be the headquarters of his business activity and this laid the foundation of the NIKAI Group of Companies -- a diversified business group which has forayed into Electronics, Home Appliances, IT, FMCG and Retail Food Chain.

Mr. Paras Shahdadpuri made a revolution in Consumer Electronics and Home appliances with the launch of the brand NIKAI in the year 1995. The NIKAI brand has created history by sustaining growth continuously, without a single degrowth year. It now competes with the major international brands. NIKAI has a range of around 400 products with over 15 million satisfied consumers in about 60 countries. It has become a household name and has achieved a status of being MR. RELIABLE in the life of its consumers.

Despite his busy schedule as an entrepreneur, Paras Shahdadpuri has also worked for the community and has taken up the issues faced by the Indian business community with the UAE and Indian authorities. As the Chairman of the Overseas Indians Economic Forum during 1999 - 2001 he brought together the Indian business community with UAE hosts and fostered closer working relationship. The Indian business community and the UAE government officials respect him equally for his initiatives and contributions to the community. Currently he is the President of the Indian Business and Professional Council Dubai.

Mr. Paras Shahdadpuri believes that “there is no alternative to hard work, commitment and honest conduct” He says, “I believe that the people who attribute every thing to luck and fate are those who lack confidence in their own ability and are not willing to work hard with self confidence”.

Mr. Paras Shahdadpuri was awarded the prestigious Bharat Shiromani award in the year 2005 in recognition of his contributions and achievements as a prominent NRI.
