Chairman Comments on Indian Budget


Budget Gulf News and Khaleej Times interviewed some prominent Indians living in the UAE including our Chairman, asking them to comment on what they thought of the new Indian Budget. Chairman was quoted as saying “ The budget is more a political rather than a financial budget. Chidambaram has done an excellent job by responding to the demands of various political parties, yet keeping the momentum of economic growth unobstructed. The budget encourages spending by the middle class by reducing excise duty on small cars at the same time encouraging the car industry to increase their output and productivity. A good attempt has been made to build infrastructure by allocating $4 billion to the sector. However considering the size of the country more investments are required in this sector. Although NRIs do not look for preferential treatment the budget has nothing specific to attract NRIs.


 
 
BEND IT LIKE CITY – 101.6 FM

With great success on the Nikai Sponsored show “ Non Stop Noonsense ” on City FM 101.6FM last year. Nikai has yet again sponsored a show on City FM 101.6FM called “ Bend it like City ”. The show is aired daily on weekdays from Saturday to Wednesday from 11am to 3pm. So don’t forget to tune into the show to catch up with the great music. The show also features Nikai RJ liners and advertisements.

 
RED

Gulf News came out with a magazine called RED on Valentines Day. The magazine focused on the color red, Nikai had come out with an advertisement and a product feature in this magazine. There was also an article on the importance of the color red and we had some comments from our Chairman on the subject.

Chairman was quoted as saying “ Nikai’s logo has always been red. The color has become more prominent in our communication since 2004 as the company decided to take red as its corporate color with its new confident positioning of Mr. Reliable. The use of red has been beneficial for our brand as it helps the brand to get attention. Also the color is loud and is visible from long distances. It communicates confidence and is received in a similar manner. It replicates the passion and aggression of the team behind the brand and its constant efforts to achieve better standards of product quality and service ”.

 
Hey Glitterati

Nikai released an advertisement in the magazine released by Khaleej Times. This is an annual Bollywood Masala magazine, which features all the gossip, related to the Indian film industry and its actors.

 

DESERT FLYER

Nikai released an advertisement of the 3.5” Personal Media in the American University of Dubai’s in house newsletter, which is read by all the students of the university. Nikai also put a special contest for the readers where they had a chance to win a Nikai MP3 player.


Air India Promotion

Air India and Nikai tied up for a promotion where any one who buys an Air India ticket for any destination from Dubai would get a free Nikai appliance.

The promotion started from 20th of February and will go on till the 20th of March. The promotion is already a success with so many people storming the Nikai showrooms to claim their prizes.

Nikai has also produced a Radio spot, which is being aired on City FM 101.6FM.

 

AIR MILES



Nikai got a three-page product feature in the Air Miles Magazine. Nikai also advertised in the magazine.

For two weeks in a row, Nikai’s products have been featured in the “GOOD BUY ” section of the weekly magazine of Gulf News, E+



Last week it was our 3.5” personal media player NDVXU1074LCD, which featured in the E+ magazine, and this week is the new MP3 player NMP3025V.


Emirates Post chooses Nikai for its incentive program

Nikai was the first choice for Emirates Post’s incentive program. Emirates post gave away Nikai gift vouchers for its sales incentive program, which could be redeemed for Nikai products at various outlets across the UAE.


Filipino Expat

Nikai sponsored a contest in The Filipino Expat magazine.

 

Mushaira

Nikai once again sponsored the Kavi Sammelan and Mushaira this year. This years gathering had various well-known Indian poets who had come all the way from India to take part in this event.
